The couple revealed, “We first met at a Christmas sweater party in 2015—classic holiday chaos, and somehow we found each other in it.”
From Awkward First Dates to Forever

But what’s an interesting part of their story is how they realised their partners were the ones for them. “For Danielle, it was when I travelled to India for a wedding — being apart that long, and seeing the photos and videos, she could picture us in that role one day. For me, it was during one of my lowest points. She didn’t flinch. Just stood right beside me. That was it,” Rohan shared.
A Proposal Straight Out of a Dream

When they began planning, they knew one celebration wouldn’t be enough to capture both their worlds.
“We flew to India with family, specifically to find the right venue. We landed at Oberoi Gurgaon. It was logistically perfect for our 60+ guests travelling from the US, the service was exceptional, and the venue space gave us the canvas we needed. Honestly, whenever Rohan travelled to India, he always stayed there and always imagined getting married there one day.”
Style, Traditions, and Thoughtful Details

But beyond aesthetics, it was the rituals that carried the most meaning. “The first look was particularly special for us. It is something that still gives us chills — two Maulis travelled with us from the USA, brought when Rohan delivered our first wedding invitation. A special Swami happened to arrive that same day, blessed us both, and gave us those threads to tie each other during the pheras on our wedding day. We still have them on today.”
“The full big fat Punjabi wedding experience was rooted in the traditions from our families and cultures. Every function, every ritual—all of it. And we wove Danielle into it completely, which made it that much more meaningful.”
The Moments No One Saw Coming

“There is one behind-the-scenes moment that only we know about. We almost didn’t make it. A volcano erupted—apparently for the first time in decades—and caused a cascade of cancelled flights, delays, and deplaning chaos for all 60 of our US guests. It was absurd. But somehow everyone made it in time, and not a single event was missed. What a story.” A Wedding That Felt Like Them Through all the scale, the travel, and the celebration, there was one thing that remained constant. It was their focus on what truly mattered.
